LEL helps more people ‘see an elephant fly’?

The O2 Arena did not ‘Wish Upon a Star’ when they needed additional seating to ensure that even more people could experience the 'Disney on Ice - Worlds of Fantasy' spectacular in October, instead they called on LEL Hire.

Such is the demand to see the world’s most iconic characters acted out on ice, that the O2 Arena will need to boost its 20,000 capacity.

The show will feature many of Disney favourites from Cars, Toy Story and The Little Mermaid, and a series of platforms will be erected to enable raised seating in the areas adjacent to the ice rink.

LEL will be providing 2 x 120ft runs of Metrodeck and 2 x 120ft of Steeldeck to make raised seating platforms at the ice’s edge.

BLUEWATER EVENTS CENTRE to call on LEL

LEL has put itself on stand-by to assist the new £60 million Events Centre located in the heart of Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent.

The new 5,200m² events venue has been designed to cater for everything from conferences to concerts, from exhibitions to fashion shows and LEL has been recognised as the nearest modular stage and platform supplier to the location.

The fact that we hold something in the region of 20,000 items and specialises in the kind of structures required by the new venue including the creation of catwalks, seating platforms and extensions, staging for events and all kinds of rigs, has been clearly noted.

Some Christmas cheer from LEL HIRE

Not so long ago, we got the welcome call for “More” from the Rochester Dickensian Festival. The local event organisers asked LEL Hire to once again conjure up the 32ft x 40ft level performance area over the car park, to house this year's popular Christmas Carol Concert.

The concert represents the finale to this annual extravaganza held in the Rochester Castle and Cathedral area. The whole event features an extensive Christmas market, with a variety of street entertainment, all lit up by more than 10,000 lights.

And just like the famous Dickens character Pip we have ‘Great Expectations’ that with our help a few more people will be able to enjoy the proceedings.
